The priest prepares to host the foreign dignitaries from Snordwhich, aiming to impress them with their church and also to help the kingdom by holding a sermon on the importance of strong allies while they are present.
Meanwhile, the merchant cheaply acquires a bunch of pendants, and hopes to sell them for a profit. After the merchant sells his newly acquired pendants for surprising amounts of money and gifts one to the priest, they turn out to be cursed. Everyone who wears them falls asleep. Luckily, the priest wakes up from the cursed sleep with the aid of the Watcher and is able to ask the Snoozemeister of Snordwhich what's going on.
The pendants are revealed to be magical; they bind Xexys the Dream Demon to the realm of dreams, but only as long as the pendants are in the hands of the Snords. With the pendants spread out over the kingdom, he is free! The priest must quickly aid the Snoozemeister in once again banishing Xexys, saving the kingdom and the Snord's comfortable sleep in the process.
Amusingly, Xexys the Dream Demon is not immune to conversion. He can be made a loyal subject of the Watcher before being banished.
