This quest offers the possibility of gaining a Legendary Trait. (In order to get the trait, you must select to forge the Seal of the Seven Mechanical Arts at the end of the quest.) It also offers the special treasures: Mechanical Arts Seal or Hammer of the Mechanical Arts.


This quest can only be completed by the Blacksmith.

Approaches Edit

There is only one approach: Make That Six.

For this quest, you blacksmith needs to craft 7 badges with respect to each types of craft. These badges can be crafted in this order.

Badge of Blacksmithing Edit

Since your hero starts off as a blacksmith, he can create this badge right at the beginning of the quest.

Badge of Agriculture Edit

At the beginning, your blacksmith will start off with some seeds which he intend to grow for Badge of Agriculture. However, due to your blacksmith not cleaning his clothes for sometimes, the seed spontaneously grew into wheats. Your hero then decided to take the advantage of the situation and craft Badge of Agriculture from one of the wheat he "grew".

Badge of Trading Edit

Once the blacksmith acquired a Badge of Blacksmithing, the hero then aimed for a Badge of Trading. Since the hero is working as a blacksmith, they decided to master this art by selling the equipment that they forge themselves. You will need to make 3 Longswords and 3 Crude Plate Mails to complete the first part of the quest.

Once 3 of the Longswords or Crude Plate Mails is crafted, it will disappear from the inventory. Do not panic because the item is being "carried" elsewhere, as you are not selling them through a conventional means. There will be a special option to sell them for the quest specifically. Once you have sold the goods, you will get the option to forge the Badge of Trade using one of the simoleon coin from the previous trade.

- Forge the Badge of Trading

Badge of Architecture Edit

Once the Badge of Trading is acquired, the blacksmithing will think about the next badge to craft, and settle for Badge of Architecture. They will be task to speak to the Monarch hero. Speaking with the Monarch will reveal that they do not need any direct help with infrastructure, but is willing to accept donation in the form of money or extra tools.

If you choose to provide donation via cash, you'll be given your building order, which then allows you to forge the badge.

If you choose to provide donation via tools, the blacksmith will be task to forge 3 Cruddium Hammers. Once all 3 are forged, they will need to be delivered to the Monarch. It doesn't make a difference on whether you'll get the Legendary Trait if you choose to donate money or building tools.

Regardless of the choice made, the Monarch will be pleased with your donation, and will give you a building order, a sign that your blacksmith has mastered the art of architecture. Your blacksmith will then have the option to forge Badge of Architecture.

Badge of Tailoring Edit

While having no knowledge in sewing, the blacksmith was stricken with an idea of creating a fashion item using metals. You need to craft 3 Iron Masks and distribute them to 3 random sims marked as Fashionista. All of them will be very impressed with the work, and one of them will give you a ring as a memento. The blacksmith then have the option to forge the Badge of Tailoring using the ring.
