Rock piles[]

Mining

A Blacksmith mining a Ferrous stone.

Mineral resources can be collected from exposed rock piles littered throughout the landscape. Initially, they need to be "discovered" by a Hero who can harvest from rocks before the "collect" interaction becomes available.

Rock piles can be collected by the following Heroes:

The chance of a successful collection is dependent on Focus. On a successful collection, it will yield a random amount of the main mineral resource represented by the rock, and some random amount of other mineral resources which do not have rock piles of their own.

List of mineral resources with their own rock piles[]

List of mineral resources without their own rock piles[]

Some mineral resources don't have their own rock piles. These can be randomly collected when collecting from the rock piles of other minerals.

List of rock piles without a fixed mineral[]

The following rock piles do not have a fixed mineral type. Instead, one of three mineral resources is harvested when they are collected.

  • Gem Deposit
  • Rich Mineral Deposit

Gem Deposits will randomly yield:

Rich Mineral Deposits will randomly yield:

There are 3 of each type. The Gem Deposits can be found on the Beach, at the northeast of the Wizard's Tower, and along the path to the Forest near the wall gate. The Rich Mineral Deposits can be found on the Beach, at the back of the Court Commons, and at the back of the alley between the Cathedral and Monastery.

Pirate's and Nobles Expansion[]

The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles expansion brought with it a couple more mineral type items, but unlike other ores, these can not be mined, or received from a mine node. Instead, they can be found through Treasure Hunting, Birds and Random Events.
