Using a carrier pigeon.

Messenger Posts allow medieval Sims to contact and communicate with each other by sending letters attached to the legs of carrier pigeons. This form of communication is referred to in-game as "p-mail."

Sims of all sorts use messenger posts to send their taxes to the Monarch of the kingdom. This makes them valuable targets for spies, who can attempt to steal the funds for themselves. In addition, messenger posts have hidden compartments that spies can use to make secret drops, or to collect secret packages.
